First Parish Church
Berlin, MA
All are welcome!
We, the members of First Parish Church of Berlin, covenant together, and with God, to be a support, sharing fellowship, which nurtures the spiritual development and humanity of its members and friends, seeks truth with respect to diversity, and sensitivity to traditions, and works toward a more just and compasionate community, in Berlin, and the world.

Tending the community, feeding the soul.

Who Are We?
The UCC faith is 2,000 years old. Our thinking is not.

We believe in God's continuing testament.  This is why we are committed to hearing God's ancient story anew and afresh in our lives and in the world today.  We try to remain attentive to God's creative movement in the world. Religion and science are not mutually exclusive, and your head and heart are both welcomed into our places of worship.  We prepare our members and leaders to be engaged in ministry in the present and future church, and we embrace all kinds of communities and new modes of thinking.  Why? Because God is still speaking,
Unitarians are people of all ages, many backgrounds, and many beliefs. We are brave, curious and compassionate thinkers and doers. We create spirituality and community beyond boundaries, working for more justice and more love in our own lives and in the world.

Unitarian Universalism affirms and promotes seven Principles, grounded in the humanistic teachings of the world's religions. Our spirituality is unbounded, drawing from scripture and science, nature and philosophy, personal experience and ancient tradition.
First Parish is a federated church of the United Church of Christ, and Unitarian Universalist Association. Parishioners may join either, both, or the federated First Parish only. All are welcome!
